How to be Equipoised

One of the main essence of Bhagavad Gita is, I am trying to implement in my life to be equipoised. It is not easy but slow practice is bringing effects. Lord Krishna says in Gita “practice will support to achieve it ” but

What exactly it means to be equipoised?

It simply means as per Bhagavad gita, the great British saying “Keep Calm and Carry On”. Definitely that is initial phase of understanding it, but when you go deeper into meaning, it signifies the importance of keep yourself neutral, regardless of happy sorrowful time. It has lots of underlying meaning which, I will explain more in next blog.

But why?

what is the big deal in keeping ourselves balanced mind, what it unlocks? Keeping mind balanced no doubt builds focus and enable us to see the bigger picture, it doesn’t distorts picture of situation by emotions/anger. This is how you get the key of your life. If this is not the case, then we simply get tossed by waves of ocean and we have no control.

But How?

Shri Prabhupad’s Gita has made it easy all around, simply build Krishna consciousness no need to do tough methods of so many Yogas like hatha yoga, ashtanga yoga, dry mental speculations to restrain from sense gratification as it comes with a lot of ground work but a devotee of the Lord automatically refrains, find it so easy because of superior taste of being in Krishna consciousness. In the next blog, I will elaborate more on Krishna consciousness to make the full sense of higher taste of life.

Saturation Vs Satisfaction

This topic, I have come across, a very interesting exploration by Dr Nitaisevini Mataji, a ISKCON inspirational speaker. I am going through a very similar stage of life, and this video just supported in the way I was looking for.

Why it is our requirement, or what changes it is bringing in my life?

Saturation attribute of life or our personality more points that there is plenty and having more will satisfy my senses but how is it possible, when you don’t know where to stop.

How I found it relevant, when I applied in my life whether I am satisfied or saturated. I checked the fact that if my life was different or people around me ,then I wouldn’t have been so enthusiastic, or so keen to know more about life in general. All the conditions or people have nurtured me so far, and still motivating me to be focused in defining the

” Purpose of Life”

Thinking this, is bringing more acceptance and really what more I can ask for? This insightful check about satisfaction, it can bring lots of benefits, make the best of this life bargain whether you consider it good, bad, hard work and so many names that we keep doing it.

Yipeee

Another Exploration on Yogas

Hare Krishna Friends. This is my way to addressing this article simply because I find it very peaceful and full of love. Nowadays a lot is happening, whatever is happening it is for good. “This is the main message I grabbed it, during the days when the old TV program Mahabharat was quite famous in 90’s in India, when supreme lord Shri Krishna was giving wisdom right in the middle of Battlefield”.

I am enrolled in Gita Course by Radhika KripaJi, she also speaks English, the link below is mix of English and Hindi. I must say her class are purely like a Spiritual mother with full care, to make us understand the pure wisdom that we need all the time.

Why the Class now, when I am Gita reading anyway, reading definitely is a good start and having a guru to fast-track to absorb the wisdom is bonus. This gives me opportunity to listen with full attention, get organised and do the assignments.

I am on chapter 6 which is Dhanya-Yoga, the teachings by my guru no doubt are so valuable, would love to share with you some highlights. The chapter 6, mainly I would say that a way to address that there are different ways to come near to Krishna who is the causes of causes, who is the perseverance of happiness but the most efficient way is to be active in devotional service or Bhakti Yoga.

But why devotional service, why not try mediation yoga, ashtanga yoga, Dhanya yoga various names? Krishna explained about various methods ,an example Ashtanga yoga in real means is tedious & difficult process, you have to go to secluded place, sit on grass mat, no materialistic life and focus on mind not to wander around.

A devotee also need wisdom but rather than going to solace place, that person will simply read Bhagawad-Gita, lord’s own words, will focus on building pious relationship with Lord as devotional servant. Devotee simply need chant to lord’s holy name, read lord’s words, in next posts I will also explain about other lifestyle aspects to be more simple.

Hare Ram Hare Ram Ram Ram Hare Hare

The deep, simple and pure consciousness a devotee builds due to the fact that “Everything belongs to Krishna, he is the supreme enjoyer” and “When we get the unlimited mercy by serving him then we as eternal servant enjoy”. This will automatically get rid of materialistic play of mind, ego, intelligence, hence devotee is free already.

Why and what to wait for? Gita has answers to all complex, simple questions and a proven way to realise the full potential which is no doubt very short but a golden opportunity to make the most of bad bargain.

Nip in the bud Concept

Why I am talking about this suddenly?

Well yesterday in the evening, when I was completing my assignments along with it, I was also listening Hare Krishna TV, a channel on YouTube dedicated to Krishna Consciousness. I listened an interesting lecture “Nip in the Bud” concept by Mahatma Das to identify early stage of intelligence when we mediate on anything, I felt so thankful & filled with excitement to share with readers on WordPress. My obeisance to him, it is Krishna mercy through him. I would definitely recommend checking his website.

https://mahatmadas.com/

What was the Lecture?

Krishna ,when we meditate on anything more and more, we start losing the first stage of analysis when our intelligence is more active that’s the time we need to recognise and stop it before it slips and turns into lust.

Beautifully said that, recognise the early stage of mediating whether it is your career, buying a product or any thing. It is the stage ,when intelligence is very active and asking questions “Why I need this”, “How it can satisfy me” ,quality questions for mutual benefit. This is the right time to nip in the bud before it gets too late turn into attachment second stage and lastly third stage “lust”. Mostly marketers, they use lots of parameters to connect to products, to increase our meditating time.It is upto to us to ask quality questions rather than directly jumping to third stage straightway, means ending in I have to have it, a dangerous stage to pull out from.

He explained by taking an example of marriage, they break because when you are looking more than required, which ultimately goes to unpleasant stage. I hope , it has helped you to recognise,

“Our intelligence is Our Ally”
